The following information outlines Safety, regulations, experience, plant identification, target herbicides, surfactants, drift, other invasive weeds and brush common to the area. Out West Energy service will provide years of herbicide application and plant identification experience. We have worked on projects with many different companies and government entities, such as U.S. Anny Core of Engineers, (NRCS) Natural Resources Services, Naval Air Station Reserve Base Fort Worth, TX, Department of Agriculture, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board, EPA, and various energy services. We also work closely with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension for assistance on plant identification.
Safety and State Regulations;
All herbicide spraying will be overseen by a licensed Texas Department of Agriculture Commercial Pesticide Applicator. Herbicide application will follow the Laws and Regulations of the Texas Department of A.griculture. We will comply with any additional request provided by customer or landowner.
Spray Equipment:
Out West Energy provides clean and properly functioning equipment that will be kept up and inspected daily to prevent any leaking or spills. We will provide all equipment to meet the safety rules required. Equipment may vary depending on the scope of the job. Small infestations may require spot spraying with a backpack sprayer. Large broadcasting jobs may need a boom sprayer as a better option. We have equipment for any size job.
Target Herbicide, Surfactants, Drift Agent:
Out West Energy uses EPA approved herbicides. We follow all regulations including Personal Protective Equipment, Agriculture Requirements, and Spray Drift management.
Bare Ground Treatment:
Glyphosate is used to control bare ground in areas such as pipelines, right of ways, substations, wind turbines, roadsides, railroads, etc. The mix will be approved by the customer. Surfactants, drift agents, and dyes will be added. This will be a broad-spectrum post-emergent professional herbicide. At the request of the customer pre-emergent herbicide can also be added to this mix to ensure a full season without vegetation returning.
Other Invasive Weeds and Brush Common to West Texas:
Examples of toxic weeds found in West Texas include the following. Bitter Weed (toxic agent), Mesquite (toxic agent), Mescal (toxic agent), Cocklebur (toxic agent), White brush (toxic agent), Johnson grass (toxic agent), Pigweed (toxic agent), Tumbleweed (toxic agent). This is a list of some possible toxic weeds and brush that is invasive. The importance of keeping the toxic plants at bay is of utmost importance. When stressed, many of these invasive plants are toxic and are fatal to livestock.

In the field of weed and brush control, Out West Energy Services offers many different options in herbicide application. We have experience with different types of equipment and methods such as Foliar spraying, spot spraying, broadcast application (boom spraying), basil spraying, and cut stump treatments. Out West also offers several different options in seeding services which include drill seeding, drop seeding, hydroseeding, and hand seeding.
Construction:
We offer a full line of construction services. We are capable of building roads, pads, crushing rock, fencing, cattle guard installation, welding, cranes, trucking, rentals, laborers, etc.
